OLIVER acquires Aylesworth Fleming

London – After 22 years as an independent and 8 years as part of the Bournemouth based Emerge Group, the UK’s leading property specialist marketing agency has become part of one of the most exciting and fastest growing agency groups in the country.

On October 1st, the acquisition of the creative agency, Aylesworth Fleming, by £42m Oliver Group was completed.

Matt Fleming, Aylesworth Fleming’s current CEO started the business in 1985 and he plans to stay in a full time role with the company post acquisition. Over the last 30 years, the agency has established itself as the leading residential property specialist in the country with offices the length and breadth of the UK and over 120 staff. Its turnover is around £8.5m and OLIVER has ambitious plans to build the brand.

OLIVER CEO Simon Martin said, “Aylesworth Fleming is a business with a great pedigree and a great offer that is as relevant now as it ever was. We plan to invest in the agency and grow its presence in its established locations in Bournemouth, Leicester and Manchester, and particularly in London where OLIVER has its head office.” He signaled his intention to share skills within the larger organisation to the benefit of both agencies.

Matt Fleming was also excited about the future, “this heralds an incredibly exciting time for Aylesworth Fleming” he said, “with the strength and resource of a company like OLIVER behind us, the sky’s the limit. We are a perfect fit in the OLIVER organisation and will bring another dimension to their business. Our UK wide presence will make a big difference to their remotely based teams up and down the country, offering them greatly enhanced support and resource.”

Fleming went on to say “I am enormously proud of what we’ve achieved at Aylesworth Fleming growing the business to its ‘Best in Breed’ status despite the ravages of two severe recessions and the breathtaking speed of change in our industry.”

The plans to double the size of the agency’s Bournemouth operation are well underway and they are recruiting in the Midlands and the North West too. The future as part of the OLIVER Group looks bright for what was one of the industry’s oldest independents still under its original management.
